The Front Line Supervisor’s course is 16 hours and designed to familiarize newly promoted police officers or civilian support supervisors with the issues facing law enforcement entities.  It covers in great detail the liability assumed by the supervisor.  The course provides familiarization with common civil rights violations, ways to mitigate the violations and consequences of the violations. It also provides an in depth look into wage and labor issues that supervisors will likely face.  The course provides direction on the following issues:

  • ·         Employee investigations
  • ·         Event planning
  • ·         Employee management
  • ·         Mission accomplishment 
  • ·         Performance evaluations
  • ·         Goal setting
  • ·         Hiring standards
